Whilce Portacio to pencil “Uncanny X-Men: The Heroic Age” one-shot

Whilce Portacio returns to Marvel Comics in Uncanny X-Men #522, which is in stores now and features the return of Kitty Pryde. In July, we’ll get to see Portacio’s comic pencils in a longer story as he returns to the X-Universe first with penciling duties on the “Uncanny X-Men: The Heroic Age” one-shot then stepping onto Uncanny X-Men for an entire arc from issues #526 to 529.
Longtime fans of The X-Men will remember the early ’90s when Portacio penciled Uncanny X-Men and their “Gold Team”: Archangel, Colossus, Iceman, Jean Grey, Storm, and Professor X. He also designed the time traveling mutant known as Bishop during this time.
